Fourteener
Posted by GoodTimesI'm going on two 10K climbs for training, and one 14K climb in the next few weeks. I'll be doing Whitney before the end of summer, the highest peak in the contiguous US, so that'll be 2 of the Fourteeners this summer.

Backpacking with the kids
Posted by GoodTimesI've gone camping with the kids and had them carry their own clothes and sleeping bags and hike a couple of miles. They were game for it. I need them to carry it further and further until they can do it completely on their own. The next step is learning to poop in the woods. lol

Learner's permit take three
Posted by cme101214I've taken the test twice and failed both times (and the reasons given contradict each other, but moving on). I had to get it renewed recently, because I couldn't pass the test in time before it expired.
A Thing About Me
Posted by alexysmiller13To say that I am one that likes to live in the moment is an understatement. I try to take advantage of every situation that comes my way. I have jumped out of a plane and I have climbed up a 65ft zip line tower. I try to do everything. For example, the other day I rode down the stairs head first on a pillow. I have learned that everyday ...

When you're happy like fool, let it take you over...
Posted by kimjonasThis is the start of something new: a transformation.
Coming home from a vacation in Florida, I realized that, now, I should embrace change.
I was very content with routine and organization.
I did not like unexpected events.
I am too scared, not of experiencing something incredible, but being embarrassed.
Are my goals set too soon?
Posted by ShannaI'm wondering if I'm setting my hiking goals too soon. I actually wanted to be the oldest woman to climb Everest, but since I don't like the cold, that's probably not do-able. lol
I've been training like crazy to climb Whitney. I feel like if I don't work quickly, I won't be able to accomplish a lot of my goals by the time I kick the bucket. I hope to ...

Finally some progress...
Posted by GlamRockSocksI've been writing a book for the last ten years so it's not really progress but I have finally realised why so many re-writes. Because the story is just wrong. What happens just doesn't make sense. It's what you want to happen, of course, but it just wouldn't happen. And so, this has now changed. Depression for all, a la G R R Martin. Well, not quite. But we'll see ...
