Get A Job - Done!

How did it go down?

Have worked, mostly, since I was 18. Grew up planting trees and got a job as a Huron Hockey School Counselor when I was 16. Had just about every job there is that was valued at Harvard University. Worked my way through university. Have had jobs since university but I have't kept them that long, compared to others' post-university jobs. I really got a job as much as anyone can get a job at university then tapped out of the system.

Did you get help or have company along the way?

Yes. I met my wife at my job at the Harvard University American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, MA, where I worked as an usher. Almost always company and have met tons of very interesting, helpful people along the way. Have to credit my parents here and their financial support and other types of support.

What made it possible? Any advice?

Getting a proper education growing up and continuing it through to a Bachelor of Arts degree. Following instructions. Being responsible. Intelligence. Good people and social skills. Connections and interactions with other people. My advice is go after the money while you're young and seek out high-paying jobs that are rewarding and which offer perks and connections. Don't get put out on the street early.
