About: MY BUCKET LIST DREAM : Youth Suicide/ Mental Health Awareness… Last year there were 40,000 plus suicides in the US. Suicide is the ONLY preventable death. Here in Minnesota there is a program called TXT4LIFE where students can text the word LIFE to 61222 and licensed counselor communicates with them about their issue. Along with that there is a person that goes to the schools and does a tXT4life presentation to the students to make them aware of this lifesaving tool. Just like there is now Rachel’s challenge that is a nationwide program, my dream or bucket list is to see a TXT4Life program in high schools and middle schools to save our youth and give them a tool and educate them on mental health and suicide awareness. I don’t know of anything like cancer that is even close to the number of youths taking their own lives. I became a suicide awareness advocate and started a Fb page called Suicide let’s talk about it… after a friends son took his own life in our town in 2014. – Susie
