For 36 years, my future felt completely blank because I couldn't force myself to see me as a woman. I couldn't picture being a wife or a mother, and the idea of pregnancy brought total dread. Even just imagining things I'd want to do felt colored by the lens of a body that didn't fit. A few months ago, I finally realized I'm trans. For the first time in my life, I can can picture my life as a husband, a father, and a man. This is my largest goal, finally shaking off the imposter syndrome and presenting as the man I want to be.
