Eurostar from St. Pancras to Amsterdam, then on through Cologne, Berlin, Warsaw, Minsk, and Moscow. Then it's the Trans Siberian Railway going through Novgorod, Perm, Ekaterinberg, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, leaving Russia and going down through Mongola via Ulan Bator before arriving in Beijing. Connecting train goes down to Shanghai and then there's a ferry to Osaka. Start to finish on the TSR takes 6 nights, plus the connecting journeys.
