Focus On Good Things About The Day

This goal is one way I honour my Mum. She always had her students write five good things about yesterday. I find sometimes five was too hard for me, but, over time I became more attune to good things in my day and five became to little. So I shed the number requirement and simply acknowledge good things about the day. It was So Easy for me to focus on the negative, the non-perfect. The longer I did this goal as a way to honour her after her passing, the more I noticed Good Things in my day. My focus shifted to looking for the good things. When that became second nature I wandered away from writing them down. Then I found, over a long period of time and when some really icky things happened to me, I began to shift away from looking for good things, being overwhelmed with the negatives in life. It's' a good idea to write down the good things. Mom, miss you crazy, love you true. xoxo Heidi
