In May of 2016 I was given a tiny white kitten with black spots that was rescued from a gas station. This small cutie was covered in dirt, bloated from starvation and intentinal worms and she was infested with hundreds of fleas. After investigating anatomy of kittens I found out this beauty was about 2 and a half weeks old and that she was missing her mother early on in her life and if she had been left alone it would have affected her development which likely would have resulted in death. Several times a day I was there to clean feces and wet food residue from her entire body as she was clumsy and sat in everything. During her meals she would stand in her food and growl the entire time as if she were afraid this would be her final meal and I was there to take it from her. I had to show her that I was a friend who wanted to keep her fed and cleaned. Many days were spend with a bottle of Dawn to flush out the fleas and fresh eggs from her fur and after a week her crusty tanned fur was a vibrant white and her eyes glowed a beautiful topaz blue. Once the fleas were all dead and the diarrhea had stopped I brough her to my bed and laid her in my plush black blanket which she suckled on into adult hood as it probably reminded her of her mother. We moved into our new home two weeks after meeting and there bonded and struggled as this baby was very much feral and had to learn how to be cared for by humans. We covered her dry food in diatomaceous earth and after a month the tapeworms and parasites were killed off and thus came an end to her gastrointestinal issues and she became a healthy cat with more energy. Many nights of yowling to the bathroom accoustics and a constant string of scars apparing on my arms have become my daily life but I wouldn;t trade it for the world. This cat is a wild child but she is also sweet and affectionate! She sleeps between my partners legs every single night and lays with me and my grandmother during the day. She chases our ankles and lays belly up on the carpets showing us her trust. This little one is named Mochi and I am so happy she was brought into our lives. Ashe
