While researching genealogy I found the gold rush town in California where My Irish Immigrant great grandparents settled. I became obsessed with researching the history of the area and have even written several books about it. There are very few original buildings left in the town one of which is a former Catholic church which is now a non profit organization which is charged with restoring the building and use it for a museum and visitors center. I have been researching, collecting artifacts and actively working on the restoration as almost a full time volunteer. @Kathysmith
