I've been fascinated with astronomy since I was a small child. I haven't kept it up so much as a hobby as an adult, but I have many fond memories of stargazing and being amazed at the vastness of universe. I've also always wanted to visit the desert, and there are lots of places there, from what I read, that are relatively free of light pollution. Melissa
