Start A Non-Profit
For three years I was homeless, hopeless, and lost to my addiction. I survived the drugs, alcohol, and unbelievably cold and dangerous nights on the streets. I look back at the time I spent out there...I survived in part because of the kindness of strangers...i made it one day at a time.. I have now been working, sober, and inside my own home for two and a half years now. I have rebuilt my life from the ground up. My daughter and I have started packing and handing out backpacks full of items that I know from personal experience are needed to survive the frigid Colorado winters. Sometimes all you need is to hang on for one more day and everything can change in ways you never thought possible. My goal is to turn this in to a real non-profit and help the broken hang on in the hopes that tomorrow will be another day.
