I've never liked cars nor do I plan on owning even a car driving license. I travel with mass transport including bus, subway, ferry, and plane when needed. The reason why I'm into motorbikes is the fredom it gives. Sure, cars do that too, but I hate them, and I prefer having a "me" time where I can go everywhere, without having the traffic dilemma or sometimes even without having to use the road (if legal). Riding a well built and safe motorbike would probably fulfill most of my other dreams in one shot!
