i really want to buy like an old church and convert it in to a house but keep as much of the original church features as possible

Because the cookie cutter houses most people own are boring.
when I was a kid, I used to draw my dream house. I still remember having a collection of my sketches of different house design which I made. Unfortunately I lost those sketches years ago. I thought I can make my dream come true by taking architecture, but some people discourage me to take the course which I do regret.
