Love is fun, and it's more fun to celebrate with strangers you hardly know. To witness the love and celebration between two people and their family would be beautiful.
I would do this with only pure good nature intentions. I would be polite and bring a considerible gift. Act like I know the couple well. Have an awesome time. Would never crash a funeral... that is to me very disgraceful.
