in elementary school, we had to climb to the top of a rope and ring a bell. There were knots along the rope that you could step on or grab on so I found it to be a pretty easy task. I never understood why people couldn't do it....unless they had a fear of heights, but there were high jump like cushions and nobody fell that could climb up, they just climbed back down.
