I saw a picture of Machu Picchu when I was maybe 10 and thought how amazing the world is and to think you only live in a small part of it..I just had to go and see it..and when in South America you can't just see Peru and leave..think of how Brazil, Argentina and not to mention Cuba would be so sad to miss you..

It's a dream I've had since a long time after a wonderful experience backpacking through Australia, which brought me so much. Backpacking is one of my favourite way to travel; I see myself travelling by road, either by foot, by bus or by hitch-hiking, working here or there to afford my trip and I probably would try Xhelping or WWoofing, doing all kind of outside activities that I don't normally do like scuba-diving, hiking or sailing, and in general challenging myself, meeting people I would not have normally met and having all kind of new experiences. It's a very different way of life and I find it teaches me so much and helps me remember what is important in life. As for South America, I have very little knowledge on that continent so this will probably sound cliché but I'm attracted to the great and varied landscape and fauna, the culture, the history and historical sites, the people... Besides, I've always wanted to learn to speak Spanish so that also kindda fitted in there, as I would not see myself learning Spanish without leaveing for a significant amount of time in a Spanish speaking country. As for now, it is a goal that I have to set aside but it is important to me and I would feel like I missed something important if I should die without having achive this goal. I choose a picture from the movie "the motorcycle diaries" as I find it truly inspiring.
