A convergence of Iberian, Arab, Berber and African cultures and, along with Spain, locale of the legendary Pillars of Hercules, Morocco has long functioned as a gateway of worlds. I would explore this country on its own merits, but also in the broader context of an initial point of touchdown in my ancestral Africa.
