Top 5 Regrets of the Dying

Posted by MrHakalaMrHakala

Bronnie Ware, an Australian nurse who spent several years working in palliative care, put her experiences into a book called: The Top Five Regrets of the Dying

"The Top Five Regrets of the Dying"

Here are the top five regrets of the dying, as quoted by Ware:

1. I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.

2. I wish I hadn't worked so hard.

3. I wish I'd had the courage to express my feelings.

4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.

5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.

Making my very own Bucket List

Posted by ChupitoChupito
So it's started : For the first 10 goals, I've tried to thing hard and define my main goals in life and the very important things that I ABSOLUTELY want to have done in my life and that I would regret not having done if I were to die tomorrow. I put a "new things every week for a year" which allows for less important items that I'd like to have done in a year and challenges me, which is one of the points of a Bucket List in my mind. I'm also considering a "Before 30 Bucket lists" - and other ages but somehow, I can't project myself really farther than 40 years old. Finally, come random things that I would like to have accomplished before I die but are of less important than the forst 10 items.

I GOT ENGAGED.

Things to do before I'm turning 30...

Posted by NoimoiNoimoi
I'm almost 30 and since some months feeling that I'm somehow got stuck... got stuck in career, in relationship with my family, in my non-existing private life... and I can't find the way out. I'm just feeling it isn't alright. This is not how it should be. So I've decided to write my very own bucket list with all the silly things I want to do in the next 6 months and in 2012.

Why did I write a bucket list?

Posted by mwithrowmwithrow
Tonight my boyfriend asked my why I decided to write a bucket list. My response back to him surprised him a little. I wrote my bucket list because I had to find something to dream for or I didn't know how much longer I would be able around. He was a little taken back. And I don't blame him. I don't understand it myself. I have a good life. A wonderful man that loves me, 3 beautiful children, a decent job and a roof over our heads. I come from a single parent home where I was the oldest and had to step up and help raise my siblings until I had my own as a teenager. So my entire life has always been living day to day. Never dreaming for the future. Not mine at least. Sure my kids will do this or see that. But my life was, is and always will be-just make it thru today and tomorrow. And living like that is exhausting. Living like that is depressing. Making this bucket list has been a life changing, spirit changing experience. For the first time in my life I really sat down and thought about what I want. Where I want to go, what I want to do, what I want to see. I have never been allowed or allowed myself to do that before. And now that I have I feel like I can do anything. I feel like I know me for the first time in my life. Funny huh. 35 yrs old and I just met myself.
